I did this and intend to do others because any tab out there for alot of the guitar tabs are way off. If someone wants to become a better guitar player, it always helps to learn some licks that consist of more than mere power chords. Enjoy... What You Are Audioslave Tune your guitar to the song, cause i never could identify a note by hearing it, and i dont have my tuner, it broke. This is correct though. You'll get the idea. LEGEND - #Riff starts over 1------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3------------------------------------------------------------------------------VERSE RIFF 4---7-7--7--5-5--5--3-3--3--5-5--5---#----------------------------------------- 5--5-5--5-55-5--5-55-5--5-57-7--7-3--#----------------------------------------- 6------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1---------------------------------- 2---------------------------------- 3---------------------------------- 4---7-7--7--5-5--5--3-3--3--5-5--5- The last two times the 5--5-5--5-55-5--5-55-5--5-53-3--3-3 verse riff is played its 6-----------------------------------different. Same progression though. 1----------------------------------- 2----------------------------------- 3-------------------3-3--3---2-2--2-This is the last time it is played 4---7-7--7--5-5--5------------------right before the chorus. 5--5-5--5-55-5--5-51-1--1-1-0-0--0-0 6----------------------------------- 1------------------------------------- 2------------------------------------- 3------------------------------------- CHORUS RIFF (you need stretchy fingers 4---------------------10-9\8-7-7-7-7-- for this and tom uses overdubs so the 5-12-12-12-12-\7-7-7-7\5-5\3-3-3-3-3-- last chord here is one octave lower than 6-12-12-12-12-\7-7-7-7\5-5\3-3-3-3-3-- what you hear so you can play it. 1------------------------------------- 2------------------------------------- 3-------------------------------------Chorus End 4------------------------------------- 5-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-6-5--3--2-0----- 6-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-6-5--3--2-0----- The lead part is just the Digitech Wammy and his pickup switch at work with him hitting the 6th string open and then fretting the 4th sting at the 12th fret and having fun with his tremelo bar. I personally think its one of his worst "creative" solos, but the rest of the song is cool so fXXk it. it works. After that theres the little bridge section and if you cant figure out that then damn. I guess I'll have to put it down here then eh? but you should be ashamed. :-P follow the progression. its the 6th string on frets 12, 7, 5, and 3. have fun. Also, if you need any tabs done from anyone, you can ship me an mp3 of it and ill write the tab for ya. its fun so i dont have a problem with that.
